Gisela Colet was born in Tarragona in 1973.
She graduated in Chemistry at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (1996) and got her PhD degree at the Universitat de Barcelona (2001) working with Prof. Pelayo Camps on the field of Organic Synthesis.
Then she worked on the synthesis of biologically active compounds for the pharmaceutical industry with Prof. Joan Bosch (Universitat de Barcelona). In 2002 she joined Grupo Vita to work on the synthesis of metabolites. She also worked on Process Developement in the company Menadiona Industrial SL.
On May 2004 she joined the ICIQ as Laboratory Manager in the former Parallel Synthesis and Process Chemistry Unit (now Chemical Reactions Technologies Unit) and from April 2007 to September 2009 she was the Unit Manager.
Since October 2009 she is the Manager of the ICIQ Research Support Area.
